A longer day at around 7 hours, finishing at Sagres on the southwestern tip of Portugal. You'll feel the landscape open out as you approach the cape - big sky, big cliffs, and the sense that you've run out of country.
Sagres has history, seafood, and plenty of places to stay. Stay an extra night if you want time at the fortress and the lighthouse.
